Tourist Guide Barcelona

It is certain that a city break to Barcelona means a holiday to one of Europe’s most lively, fun and art destinations. The Catalonian capital is a place unlike any other you have visited. The combination of its Mediterranean beaches, great modern life and superb art museums will absorb you. Start your day with a walk along the famous Ramblas Street and enjoy the fantastic shops, street performers, cozy cafes and bistros. Aim towards Barcelona’s port and the great statue of Columbus pointing the Americas. There, you should try some of the Seafood restaurants in Barceloneta (Marina). Be prepared for the best Paella in Spain! For you sightseeing you may use a rickety tram from the Tramvia Blau and trip up to the top of Tibidabo. The most famous sight of Barcelona is the marvel architecture church of Sagrada Familia.

This exceptional work of Antoni Gaudi together with la Pedrera and the Parc Guel constitute the landmarks of the city. As the night falls Barcelona comes alive. Be prepared to change your rhythm and enjoy the city’s nightlife to the maximum. Classical and jazz dance halls, like the unparallel Palau de la Musica Catalana, superb nightclubs and a cheerful atmosphere compose every night's unique scenery. During summer a sunset drink at one of Barcelona’s beach bars is a must. The old Gothic Quarter is another proposal. It a place that you can find a huge selection of Tapas bars and cocktail lounges all year long.  Last but not least, commute to Barcelona is very convenient as its subway covers the entire city easily and fast. There are two different transportation systems, namely the subway with 5 lines and the FCG, with two lines within Barcelona and four more lines to nearby towns. The bus is also an option, as it has very regular itineraries.
