The capital of France has a very well organized system of public transport. Its metro system runs daily from 5:30 am until 12:30 am, covering nearly all the city, including its suburbs. Therefore, metro is the easiest way to get around Paris. Maps of the city are available at all metro stations and tickets can also be purchased there, always before boarding. Buses are another means of public transport that could be used and they run daily from 6:30 am until 8:30 pm. Last but not least, a special tourist bus, locally known as Balabus, operates on Sundays and during holidays, passing through the main tourist sites of the city.
