Prague is surrounded by some wonderful hills that offer a panoramic view over its bridges and river Vltava that crosses the city, forming some Idyllic islands and meanders. Additionally, many medieval towers that surround Prague adorn its already magnificent architecture. Start you city tour from the Old Town Square, which is Prague’s central square, surrounded by beautiful historical buildings and traditional cafes. However, the landmark of the area is the square’s medieval Astronomical Clock, a legendary site that will certainly capture your imagination. The fantastic Charles Bridge is another popular sight that you should visit. There is so much to do in Prague, from clubs and dance halls to theatres, music concerts, jazz haunts, casinos, festivals and splendid restaurants. Hence, the internationality of Prague may be observed in its variety of cuisines, of which many of them may compete on an international level: French, Thai, Korean, Afghan, Lebanese, Brazilian or Kenyan food may delight your appetite on any occasion.  Moreover, beer is the essence of any Czech culinary attitude. It is produced according to Czech methods worldwide and its quality is respected everywhere. No wonder that the Czech Republic has the highest consumption of beer per citizen on an international level. Unsurprisingly you may find more than 800 Pubs in Prague to choose from and a few of them existing since centuries. Additionally, attracting DJ's from all over the world, Prague has become a clubbing hot spot. The trendsetting scene in Prague offers you a variety of leading concepts in their niche market. Selective entrance controls might prevent you from getting in but their peak hours will tickle your thoughts of never leaving Prague again. Shopping includes also an abundant variety of options. Explore the famous Wenceslas Square, which is the largest and busiest shopping street in Prague and choose from a unique variety of clothes, souvenirs, music stores and antiques. Especially, Czech porcelains, local handicrafts and Bohemian glasses are top quality and should be definitely included in your buying list. Last but not least, you may find a unique variety of hotels in Prague, ready to satisfy all your needs for a pleasant stay.

Transportation

Prague has a very well developed transport system. It consists of a very modern, accessible, clean and relatively cheap network of metro, tram and buses. Particularly, the extensive Prague’s metro will take you just everywhere efficiently and fast. It consists of three lines that cross about 50 stations throughout the city and operates from 5am to midnight. Tram covers also a very large area of the city. It operates at daytime from 4:30 a.m. till midnight and at night from 00:30 a.m. till 4:30 a.m. City buses follow the same 24 hours itineraries and cover mainly the outskirts of Prague. Of course, you can just get everywhere on foot, as most tourist attractions lie in a convenient location within the city center.
